COVID-19: Good things can happen in the crisis
Thailand’s seas are recovering in the pandemic, free from tourists and the boats that carry them. Marine life is showing itself in rare and beautiful ways.
The return of these rare sea creatures reflects the drop in tourist numbers and boats. Sea creatures have come back in larger numbers. Food ecosystems are also fertile and the appearance of large herds of dugongs is not unusual. This miracle could become a new reality with a new "Natural Resource Management Plan" and systematic conservation to let all life coexist sustainably.
